Born and raised in rural Ontario, my images reflect an upbringing surrounded by banal but beautiful landscapes, portraits of cusping adolescents and contemporary documentary style compositions. Strung together they elicit feelings of loneliness juxtaposed with introspective and romantic ideas of the 'small town vernacular'; that I struggle to embody and resist simultaneously through the process of the photographic medium.  I aim to capture the bizarre corners of every day life in the spaces and people surrounding me.
